Minnesota at Detroit
DETROIT (Interstat) — The Detroit Lions (5-2), riding high after a decisive Monday afternoon win, will host the struggling Minnesota Vikings (3-4) in an NFC North matchup on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025, at Ford Field.
The Lions are looking to build on their momentum following a 24-9 victory over Tampa Bay on Oct. 20, a game in which quarterback Jared Goff threw for 241 yards and two touchdowns. Detroit’s offense has been potent this season, scoring at least 34 points in four of their five wins.
Conversely, the Vikings are reeling from a 37-10 road loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Oct. 23. Quarterback Carson Wentz was held to 144 passing yards in that contest as Minnesota’s offense sputtered. The Vikings have lost three of their last four games, with their lone victory in that span a 21-17 win at Cleveland.
Despite the divergent trajectories, the matchup is projected to be close. Interstat’s game simulator forecasts a 29-23 victory for the Lions. Oddsmakers, however, have installed Detroit as a 9.5-point favorite, with an over/under of 48.5 points.
The game marks the first of two meetings between the division rivals this season, with a Christmas Day rematch scheduled in Minnesota.
