Washington at Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Interstat) — The Kansas City Chiefs, riding high after a decisive shutout victory, will host the sliding Washington Commanders on Monday night in a cross-conference NFL clash at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Chiefs (4-3) are coming off a 31-0 rout of the Las Vegas Raiders, a game in which quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw for 286 yards and three touchdowns. The win marked a return to form for Kansas City, which has won three of its last four.

Conversely, the Commanders (3-4) are looking to rebound from a 44-22 drubbing at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys. Washington’s defense has struggled, surrendering 69 points in its last two contests. The team has utilized a two-quarterback system, with Jayden Daniels and Marcus Mariota both contributing in the loss to Dallas.

Despite their recent surge, the Chiefs are an 11.5-point favorite according to FanDuel Sportsbook, which set the over/under at 47.5. A projection from Interstat anticipates a 30-21 victory for Kansas City.

The prime-time matchup will be the first of two consecutive games against the NFC East for the Chiefs, who will visit the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving. The Commanders will return home to face the Seattle Seahawks next Sunday.
