FUKUOKA (Interstat) — Livan Moinelo pitched six scoreless innings and the SoftBank Hawks hit three home runs to beat the Rakuten Golden Eagles 4-0 on Saturday evening at Fukuoka Yahuoku! Dome. Moinelo allowed one hit, walked four and struck out two to improve to 6-1. Tatsuki Koja took the loss after giving up two earned runs on seven hits in six innings, walking one and striking out nine. He fell to 2-11. Kensuke Kondoh hit a two-run homer, Yudai Shoji went 2-for-3 with a solo shot, and Tomoya Masaki added a solo home run. Hikaru Kimura, Yuki Tsumori and Roberto Osuna each threw a scoreless inning for SoftBank. Sota Fujiwara struck out one in a scoreless inning for Rakuten, while Ren Kajiya allowed two earned runs in one inning. SoftBank outhit Rakuten 9-2. SoftBank improved to 88-48-3.
