Giannis Antetokounmpo led Miami with 35 points, six rebounds and one assist. Jaden McDaniels added 17 points and eight rebounds for Minnesota, Bam Adebayo had 15 points and seven rebounds for Miami, LaMelo Ball scored 21 and Rudy Gobert had 15 rebounds. Davion Mitchell added 11 points and 10 assists for Miami. Minnesota improved to 1-0; Miami fell to 0-1. Attendance was 19,837. Minnesota shot 46 of 98 from the floor, 21 of 50 from 3-point range and 18 of 29 from the free-throw line. Miami shot 39 of 81, 8 of 33 from beyond the arc and 20 of 26 at the line. Minnesota held a 17-4 edge in offensive rebounds, committed 14 turnovers to Miami’s 18 and had 11 assists to Miami’s seven.
