Oklahoma City vs. San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO (Interstat) — The Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs resume their playoff series Sunday at Frost Bank Center, with the Thunder holding a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven Western Conference semifinal.

Game 4 tips off at a time to be announced, with the Thunder (73-19) aiming to seize a commanding advantage over the Spurs (71-25) on their home court.

Oklahoma City seized home-court advantage with a 122-113 victory Wednesday in Game 3. The Thunder’s win came after San Antonio evened the series with a double-overtime 122-115 victory in Game 2 on Monday.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been the catalyst for Oklahoma City’s postseason run. The guard has scored at least 22 points in each of his last eight games, including a 30-point, nine-assist performance in Game 3. In two games against San Antonio this series, Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 27 points and 10.5 assists.

Victor Wembanyama presents a formidable challenge for the Thunder defense. The Spurs’ 7-foot-4 forward recorded 41 points and 24 rebounds in San Antonio’s Game 2 victory. He followed with 21 points and 17 rebounds in Game 3.

The Spurs’ supporting cast will need to provide more consistent help. Stephon Castle scored 25 points in Game 3 and Devin Vassell added 22, but San Antonio allowed the Thunder to shoot 48% from the field.

Oklahoma City has won five of its last six games. The Thunder swept the Lakers in the first round and have dropped just two games since April 19.

San Antonio has lost three of its last four after winning 10 of its previous 11. The Spurs swept Minnesota in the first round before the current series.

The Interstat game simulator projects a San Antonio victory, forecasting a 121-108 final score.

If the Spurs win Sunday, they would tie the series 2-2 before the teams travel to Oklahoma City for Game 5 on Tuesday. A Thunder victory would put Oklahoma City one win from advancing to the conference finals.
