Dallas vs. Phoenix
PHOENIX (Interstat) — The Phoenix Suns, clinging to postseason positioning, host the lottery-bound Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night at Mortgage Matchup Center in the teams’ final regular-season meeting.
The Suns (43-35) enter the contest having won two of their last three, including a 120-110 road victory over Chicago on Sunday. Devin Booker led the way with 30 points, continuing his efficient scoring stretch. Over his last 10 games, Booker is averaging 26.5 points and 5.9 assists while shooting 50.4% from the field. Phoenix sits in a tight cluster of Western Conference teams battling to avoid the Play-In Tournament, making every remaining game critical.
Dallas (25-53), long eliminated from playoff contention, is playing for draft lottery odds and development. The Mavericks snapped a four-game skid with a 134-128 home win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, fueled by a spectacular performance from rookie forward Cooper Flagg. The overall pick poured in 45 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished nine assists, showcasing the two-way talent that has defined his first season. Over his last 10 games, Flagg is averaging 28.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.4 assists.
The season series favors Phoenix, which has won both prior matchups. The Suns earned a 123-114 victory in Dallas on Nov. 12, 2025, and a 120-111 win at home on Feb. 10, 2026. Booker averaged 31.5 points in those contests.
For Phoenix, the focus is containing Flagg while executing offensively to secure a vital win. For Dallas, the finale of a three-game road trip offers another chance for its young cornerstone to shine against elite competition. The Suns will be without guard Damion Lee (right meniscus surgery), while the Mavericks list guard Jaden Hardy (left hamstring strain) as doubtful.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. PDT. Phoenix travels to face the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday, while Dallas visits the San Antonio Spurs.
