Chicago vs. Detroit
DETROIT (Interstat) — The surging Detroit Pistons, owners of the NBA’s best record, will look to avenge an early-season loss when they host the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night at Little Caesars Arena.
Detroit (9-2) enters on a seven-game winning streak, fresh off a 137-135 overtime victory against the Washington Wizards on Monday. Cade Cunningham powered that win with a triple-double, scoring 46 points to go with 12 rebounds and 11 assists. Jalen Duren added 19 points and 14 rebounds.
The Bulls (6-4), meanwhile, are looking to rebound from a 121-117 home loss to the San Antonio Spurs. Despite the defeat, Chicago’s backcourt of Tre Jones (20 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists), Kevin Huerter (23 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists) and Ayo Dosunmu (20 points, 5 assists) provided a potent offensive effort.
These teams met just three weeks ago in Chicago, with the Bulls escaping with a 115-111 victory. The Pistons have not lost since.
The game pits Detroit’s league-leading momentum against a Bulls team that has shown flashes of strong play but has dropped two of its last three contests.
