Detroit vs. Chicago
CHICAGO (Interstat) — The Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons, both looking to open the new season on a positive note, meet Wednesday night at the United Center.
The game marks the official start of the 2025-26 NBA season for both clubs. The teams enter with identical 0-0 records, with their last official action coming in the prior season’s playoffs.
The Pistons will be seeking to avenge their last outing, a 116-113 home loss to the New York Knicks on May 1 that ended their 2024-25 campaign. The Bulls also concluded their previous season with a loss, falling 109-90 to the Miami Heat at home on April 16.
This contest opens a challenging initial stretch for Detroit, which will face the Houston Rockets, Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers in its next three games. The Bulls, meanwhile, will embark on a brief road trip to face the Orlando Magic on Saturday following the season opener.
The two Central Division rivals are scheduled to meet again in Detroit on Nov. 12.
