MILWAUKEE (Interstat) — Freddie Freeman’s solo home run in the sixth inning provided the decisive margin as the Los Angeles Dodgers held off the Milwaukee Brewers 2-1 on Monday in Game 1 of their playoff series. Dodgers starter Blake Snell was dominant, striking out 10 and allowing just one hit over eight scoreless innings at a sold-out American Family Field. The Brewers scored their only run in the ninth on a sacrifice fly before Blake Treinen recorded the final out for the save. The Dodgers had seven hits to the Brewers’ two. Blake Snell earned the win, while Chad Patrick took the loss for Milwaukee.
