Chicago Cubs at Milwaukee Brewers
MILWAUKEE (Interstat) — A spot in the National League Championship Series will be on the line Saturday when the Milwaukee Brewers host the Chicago Cubs in a decisive Game 5 of their Division Series at American Family Field.
The series is knotted at two games apiece, a fitting conclusion for two NL Central rivals who finished the regular season separated by just three games. The 99-win Brewers, the division champions, are slight favorites, but the 96-win Cubs enter with momentum after a dominant 6-0 victory in Game 4 on Thursday.
In that game, Chicago’s Matthew Boyd pitched 4 2/3 scoreless innings and Ian Happ launched a three-run homer. The win evened a series that has been defined by the home team’s struggles; the visiting team has won three of the four games.
The Brewers will look to rediscover their offense after being shut out and held to just two hits in their most recent outing. Their lineup must solve a Cubs pitching staff that has proven resilient.
According to Interstat’s game simulator, the Cubs are projected for a 6-4 victory. Despite this, Milwaukee has been installed as a pregame favorite with a spread of -1.5. The over/under is set at 7.5 runs.
First pitch is scheduled for Saturday, October 11, 2025, in Milwaukee. The winner will advance to face the Atlanta Braves in the NLCS.
