Painter then got Acuña to fly out to right and Olson to ground out, ending the threat without allowing a run. The escape preserved Philadelphia’s one-run advantage and kept Painter in line for a decision.
Philadelphia threatened in the third when Kyle Schwarber and Trea Turner drew walks, but Bryce Harper lined out and Luis Arraez grounded into a double play. Atlanta also turned a double play in the third when Olson grounded into a third-to-short-to-first twin killing after Acuña singled.
