MIAMI (Interstat) — Kyle Tucker went 3-for-3 with a home run and five RBIs, and the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Miami Marlins 6-2 on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at loanDepot Park. The Dodgers, playing as the visiting team, won their eighth consecutive game and improved to 90-57. Miami, the home team, dropped to 72-76. The game took 2 hours, 54 minutes and drew an announced attendance of 29,370.

Blake Snell earned the win for Los Angeles, allowing one earned run on four hits over 5 2/3 innings while striking out eight. Ryan Gusto took the loss for Miami after yielding two earned runs on five hits over six innings with three strikeouts. The Dodgers finished with eight hits, while the Marlins collected 10. The Dodgers put pressure on Gusto in the first. Max Muncy walked, and Tucker singled to left with one out, but Gusto escaped when Will Smith flew out to shortstop Otto Lopez. Snell worked around a one-out single by Lopez in the bottom half, getting Jakob Marsee on a called third strike and then watching Smith throw out Lopez trying to steal second.

In the second, Teoscar Hernández popped out, Josue De Paula flew out and Alex Freeland singled before Enrique Hernández struck out swinging. Snell retired the Marlins in order in the bottom of the second after a walk to Agustín Ramírez and a single by Kyle Stowers, getting Esteury Ruiz on an infield fly and Jared Serna on a swinging strike.

Los Angeles opened the scoring in the third. Tommy Edman walked, moved to second on Muncy’s single and advanced to third on Mookie Betts’ flyout before scoring on Tucker’s sacrifice fly to left. Miami threatened in the bottom half after Lopez singled, but Lopez was caught stealing second by Smith, ending the inning.

The Dodgers added a run in the sixth. Betts flew out to center before Tucker tripled to center field and scored on Will Smith’s single to right. Miami answered in the bottom of the sixth when Javier Sanoja singled, advanced on Ramírez’s double and scored on the play. The Marlins then intentionally walked Stowers before Evan Phillips struck out Ruiz to end the inning. Earlier, in the fourth, a Marlins challenge overturned a call on the field, and Miami later had a pitch-result challenge overturned in its favor during Ramírez’s at-bat. The Dodgers also had a caught-stealing call confirmed against De Paula in the fourth after a Miami challenge.

In the fifth, Enrique Hernández grounded out, Edman struck out on a foul tip and Muncy lined out sharply to center. Snell responded with a perfect bottom half, striking out Serna and Griffin Conine before getting Heriberto Hernández to fly out to left.

Los Angeles broke the game open in the seventh. Alex Freeland struck out and Enrique Hernández lined out before Edman walked, Muncy singled and Betts walked to load the bases. Tucker then hit a grand slam to right-center field, clearing the bases and giving the Dodgers a commanding lead. The home run was Tucker’s 14th of the season and the sixth grand slam of his career. Will Smith popped out to first to end the inning, but the damage had been done. The slam turned a one-run game into a five-run cushion.

Miami got one run back in the eighth. Teoscar Hernández struck out, De Paula grounded out and Miguel Rojas grounded out in the top of the eighth. In the bottom half, Sanoja tripled to right field and scored on Owen Caissie’s sacrifice fly to left. Stowers flew out to right and Ruiz grounded out to end the inning.

Brock Stewart also gave up two hits and struck out one in a scoreless inning. Phillips recorded the final out of the sixth and one out in the seventh while striking out one. Blake Treinen allowed one earned run on one hit in the eighth. Dax Fulton pitched two scoreless innings for Miami, allowing one hit and striking out two. Cade Gibson allowed one earned run on one hit while recording one out.

Gusto dropped to 1-5. Miami’s Sanoja went 2-for-4 and scored both of the Marlins’ runs. The Dodgers’ win was their eighth straight, a season high, as they continued to build toward the postseason.
