Los Angeles Dodgers at Atlanta Braves

ATLANTA (Interstat) — The Los Angeles Dodgers will try to extend their six-game winning streak Tuesday, Aug. 25, against the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park in Sandy Springs, Ga.

Los Angeles (80-51) has won six straight, including a three-game sweep of Pittsburgh at home. The Dodgers outscored the Pirates 13-7 in that series and have won seven of their last 10. Atlanta (76-55) is 3-7 in its last 10, but the Braves avoided a sweep Sunday with a 4-2 win at Milwaukee.

Right-hander Tyler Glasnow (3-0) is scheduled to start for the Dodgers. The Braves will counter with right-hander Bryce Elder (8-7).

Blake Snell is a player to watch for Los Angeles. The left-hander has won his last three starts, allowing two earned runs over 18 innings with 21 strikeouts. In Sunday’s 4-0 win over Pittsburgh, Snell pitched six scoreless innings, allowed two hits and struck out six. Relievers Edgardo Henriquez and Brock Stewart each added one scoreless inning.

For Atlanta, Tyler Mahle has been a bright spot. The right-hander is 2-2 with a 1.52 ERA over his last four starts. In Sunday’s win over the Brewers, Mahle allowed one run on six hits in five innings with four strikeouts. Raisel Iglesias and Didier Fuentes followed with scoreless relief.

The teams last met in May, when Atlanta took two of three in Los Angeles. The Braves won 7-2 on both Saturday and Sunday, while the Dodgers won 3-1 on Friday.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 7-3 Dodgers victory, and its ELO system gives Los Angeles a 54.4 percent probability to win. The Dodgers have been installed as 1.5-run favorites, and the over/under is 8 runs.

Weather at game time is expected to be 80 degrees with clouds.

The series continues Wednesday and Thursday at Truist Park before the Dodgers travel to Detroit for a weekend series against the Tigers. The Braves host Colorado beginning Friday.
