BOSTON (Interstat) — Gage Jump struck out 11 over six innings and the Athletics beat the Red Sox 7-3 on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026, at Fenway Park.

Jump allowed two earned runs and six hits for the win. Hogan Harris earned his 10th save despite allowing a ninth-inning run. Jake Bennett took the loss, surrendering four earned runs in 5 1/3 innings.

Boston jumped ahead 2-0 in the first when Andruw Monasterio singled home two runs. The Athletics got one back in the fourth, then took the lead with two runs in the fifth on Jonah Heim’s single. Donovan Walton extended the lead with a two-run ground-rule double in the sixth. Tyler Soderstrom homered in the seventh, and Henry Bolte homered in the ninth.

Jahmai Jones went 3 for 5 for Boston and scored twice. Nick Sogard added three hits. Attendance was 36,696, and the game lasted 2:52. The Athletics improved to 46-71, while Boston fell to 64-52.
