Rangers crush White Sox 10‑0 behind Rocker’s dominant start
ARLINGTON, Texas (Interstat) — Kumar Rocker pitched six dominant innings and Brandon Nimmo went 4 for 4 with a home run as the Texas Rangers blanked the Chicago White Sox 10-0 on Tuesday at Globe Life Park.
Rocker, who entered with a 2-8 record and had allowed seven earned runs in his previous start, allowed only one hit, walked none and struck out six. The right-hander improved to 3-8 and lowered his ERA significantly with his best outing of the season.
Nimmo led off the bottom of the first with a two-run homer to left field after Wyatt Langford had singled, giving the Rangers an early lead they never relinquished. Nimmo added a single in the third, another single in the fourth and a single in the sixth to finish a perfect night at the plate.
The White Sox managed just three hits total and did not advance a runner past second base until the ninth inning. Chicago struck out 10 times and drew three walks.
Texas scored in five of the first six innings. The Rangers added a run in the third when Jake Burger doubled to left-center, scoring Josh Jung, who had singled earlier in the inning. Burger’s double was his 15th of the season.
The Rangers broke the game open with two runs in the fourth. Elias Díaz led off with a double, his seventh, and scored on a single by Alejandro Osuna. After a flyout, Justin Foscue singled to put runners at first and third. Nicky Lopez then singled to center to drive in Osuna. Nimmo followed with a single to load the bases, but Burger struck out to end the inning with Texas leading 5-0.
The most decisive sequence came in the fifth inning. Ezequiel Duran doubled to right field to lead off, and Cam Cauley walked. Díaz sacrificed both runners into scoring position. Osuna then grounded a single to right field, scoring Duran and Cauley to make it 7-0. Langford followed by crushing his 11th home run of the season to left field, plating Osuna and pushing the lead to 9-0.
Texas added its final run in the sixth. Nimmo singled to left, moved to second on a groundout by Burger and scored on a single by Duran.

Luisangel Acuña pitched a scoreless inning of relief for the White Sox, retiring all three batters he faced.
The White Sox offense never threatened. Munetaka Murakami drew a walk in the first inning and singled in the fourth, one of Chicago’s three hits. Miguel Vargas hit a ground-rule double in the ninth inning for the White Sox’s only extra-base hit. Vargas also reached on a walk in the first. Sam Antonacci and Tristan Peters each drew walks in the game.
Chicago had won the series opener 10-3 on Monday but could not sustain that momentum. The White Sox fell to 53-47, while the Rangers improved to 51-50. Texas moved back to within one game of .500 for the first time since July 5.
