Miami Marlins at Milwaukee Brewers
MILWAUKEE (Interstat) — The Milwaukee Brewers look to complete a three-game sweep of the Miami Marlins in an evening game Sunday at American Family Field.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:10 p.m. CDT under cloudy skies with temperatures near 87 degrees.
The Brewers (61-37) lead the NL Central and have won the first two games of this series, including an 8-6 victory Saturday. Milwaukee has won four of five meetings this season between the clubs.
The Marlins (52-47) will send right-hander Eury Pérez (5-7, 3.78 ERA) to the mound. Pérez has lost his last two decisions and will be making his first career start against Milwaukee.
Milwaukee counters with left-hander Shane Drohan (4-1, 2.70 ERA), who earned the win Saturday in the series opener against Miami. Drohan allowed three earned runs over 6.0 innings with nine strikeouts in that outing.
Players to watch
Marlins outfielder Griffin Conine has homered in three of his last four games, including a solo shot Saturday. Over his last 10 games, Conine is batting .333 (7 for 21) with four home runs and six RBIs.
Brewers center fielder Garrett Mitchell went 3 for 5 with two RBIs in Saturday’s victory.
Series history
Milwaukee has taken the first two games of this series by scores of 2-1 in 10 innings Friday and 8-6 on Saturday. The Brewers also won two of three in Miami in April.
Betting line
The Brewers are favored by 1.5 runs with an over/under of 8. A game simulation projects a 6-5 Milwaukee victory.
