Los Angeles Angels at Athletics

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Interstat) — The Athletics look to secure a third win in their four-game series against the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday afternoon at Sutter Health Park.

First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. The weather forecast calls for clear skies and 82 degrees.

Oakland (38-38) evened the season series at two games apiece Saturday with a scoreless game that was called after five innings due to rain. The Athletics took the opener 12-11 in 10 innings Friday, when Jacob Wilson hit a walk-off two-run homer. Lawrence Butler also homered in that win.

Los Angeles (30-47) has dropped four of its last six games. The Angels have been outscored 17-11 over the first two games of this series.

Right-hander Jack Perkins (2-3) is scheduled to start for the Angels. He will face an Athletics lineup that has produced 17 runs in the series.

Angels catcher Logan O’Hoppe has been productive in recent games. He went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs in Friday’s loss and is hitting .378 (14-for-37) over his past nine games.

Athletics shortstop Jacob Wilson has been a key contributor. He is 6-for-22 with two homers and eight RBIs over his past six games, including the decisive blast Friday.

The Angels have lost four of their last five games against Oakland. The Athletics have won three of the last four meetings between the clubs.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 6-5 Athletics victory.
