Harrison, Perkins lead Brewers to 4‑0 shutout of Phillies

MILWAUKEE (Interstat) — Kyle Harrison pitched six shutout innings and Blake Perkins delivered a three-run homer in the fourth inning as the Milwaukee Brewers blanked the Philadelphia Phillies 4-0 on Sunday afternoon at American Family Field.

Luis Rengifo then grounded into a fielder’s choice on which Contreras was thrown out at home, leaving runners at first and second with one out. Garrett Mitchell struck out for the second out. Perkins then launched his first home run of the season to left-center field, scoring Sánchez and Rengifo and giving Milwaukee a 4-0 lead.

Perkins finished 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a double. Chourio went 2-for-4 with a home run and an RBI. Contreras also had two hits, including a double, and scored once.

Harrison retired the side in order in the first, second and fourth innings. Harrison set down the next seven batters before allowing a one-out single to Bryson Stott in the fifth. Stott was left stranded when Rafael Marchán popped out.

Philadelphia managed only four hits in the game. Hill, Stott, Schwarber and Justin Crawford each had a single. The Phillies did not advance a runner past second base after the third inning.
