Kyle Karros singled to left, deflected by third baseman Arenado, scoring Johnston. Brett Sullivan’s sacrifice fly brought home McCarthy, making it 8-6.
Sewald entered in the ninth and retired the first two batters before issuing a walk to Rumfield. Johnston then flied out to left to end the game.
