Neither team scored again until the ninth. Los Angeles put a runner on base in the top of the ninth when Oswald Peraza singled, but he was erased on a double play grounder by Jorge Soler. In the bottom of the frame, Tristan Peters was hit by a pitch and stole second. After Jarred Kelenic struck out, Antonacci tripled to right field, scoring Peters and tying the game 2-2. Antonacci finished 1 for 3 with a triple, an RBI and a walk.

In the 10th, with the automatic runner placed on second, the White Sox loaded the bases on an intentional walk to Vargas and a walk to Munetaka Murakami. Austin Hays grounded into a force out at home, leaving the bases loaded with one out. Montgomery then lined a single to center field, scoring Vargas for the walk-off win. Montgomery went 1 for 5 with the game-winning RBI.

Angels hitters managed only six hits. Trout homered, Adam Frazier doubled and Peraza singled. Soler and Jo Adell each had a hit, while Zach Neto, Yoán Moncada and Travis d’Arnaud were held hitless. Neto went 0 for 4 with two strikeouts.

White Sox hitters collected seven hits. Meidroth doubled and scored. Vargas singled and scored, and Austin Hays singled. Antonacci tripled, and Montgomery delivered the decisive single. Derek Hill also singled.

The game featured several defensive plays. In the sixth inning, Angels right fielder Jorge Soler threw out Austin Hays at second base after a single, preventing further damage. In the ninth, Peraza, who entered as a pinch hitter and remained at third base, made a clean putout on a pop-up by Edgar Quero.

The victory gave Chicago a 14-17 record, while the Angels dropped to 12-20. For the White Sox, it marked their third straight win after losing four of their previous five. The Angels have now lost four consecutive games and six of their last seven.

The sweep continued a recent trend: the White Sox had beaten the Angels twice earlier in the series, 5-2 on Tuesday and 8-7 on Monday. The two teams will meet again next week in Anaheim, beginning Monday, May 4.
