Rookie Church’s catch preserves Cardinals’ 5‑4 win over Pirates

PITTSBURGH (Interstat) — Rookie Nathan Church ended the game by robbing Nick Gonzales of what would have been a game-ending, two-run homer, making a leaping catch at the left-field wall to give the St. Louis Cardinals a 5-4 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday night at PNC Park.
