Andy Pages lifted a sacrifice fly to right field that scored Ohtani for a 1-0 lead. Kyle Tucker followed with a double to right, putting runners at second and third. Miguel Rojas then delivered a two-run double to left field, scoring Hernández and Tucker to make it 3-0.

Chicago threatened in the second inning when Michael Busch doubled with one out, but Wrobleski struck out Dansby Swanson and then issued walks to Matt Shaw and Pete Crow-Armstrong to load the bases. Nico Hoerner struck out swinging to end the inning.

The Cubs left two more runners on base in the third inning when Carson Kelly singled with two outs, but Busch flied out to center.

Dalton Rushing singled to right, scoring Pages and moving Tucker to third. Tucker later scored on a groundout by Santiago Espinal, giving the Dodgers a 5-0 lead.

Ohtani capped the scoring in the seventh inning with a solo home run to left field, his sixth of the season. The ball traveled an estimated 413 feet.

Chicago’s offense managed four hits, all singles. Hoerner singled in the first inning, Kelly singled in the third, Crow-Armstrong singled in the fourth and Busch doubled in the second. The Cubs drew six walks but struck out 11 times and left eight runners on base.

Wrobleski was supported by a Dodgers bullpen that combined for three scoreless innings. Edgardo Henriquez pitched a perfect seventh with one strikeout. Kyle Hurt retired the side in order in the eighth, and Jack Dreyer pitched a clean ninth with one strikeout.

For Chicago, Yacksel Ríos pitched 1 2/3 hitless innings with two strikeouts. Hoby Milner allowed one run on one hit in the ninth.

The Dodgers improved to 19-9, while the Cubs fell to 17-11. The victory gave Los Angeles a split in the three-game series after Chicago won 6-4 on Friday and the Dodgers won 12-4 on Saturday.

Key defensive plays included a sacrifice fly by Pages in the first, a groundout by Rojas in the sixth that moved runners into scoring position, and a sharp lineout by Dalton Rushing in the eighth.
