Eovaldi’s recent form provides a blueprint for Texas, having allowed just two earned runs over 13 innings in his last two starts, including seven scoreless frames against Oakland. For the A’s, Luis Severino aims to rebound after taking the loss Monday, allowing four runs over six innings. He had a strong outing in a win at Yankee Stadium prior to that.
In Monday’s win, Jake Burger powered the Rangers’ offense with two home runs and four RBIs. Oakland’s Lawrence Butler provided the lone run with a solo homer.
