NEW YORK (Interstat) — Reid Detmers struck out nine over seven strong innings and Yoán Moncada drove in three runs as the Los Angeles Angels routed the New York Yankees 7-1 on Tuesday night.

Ryan Weathers took the loss for the Yankees, yielding five runs on five hits while striking out 10 in five innings. The Yankees managed only five hits total, scoring their lone run on a sacrifice fly by Ben Rice in the eighth.
