Boston Red Sox at Minnesota Twins

Preview: Red Sox at Twins, Monday, April 13, 2026

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (Interstat) — The Boston Red Sox, fresh off a series win in St. Louis, open a three-game set against the Minnesota Twins at Target Field on Monday night.

The Red Sox (6-9) arrive after a 9-3 victory Sunday, powered by a 4-for-5, three-RBI day from Willson Contreras that included a home run. Contreras is 10 for 30 (.333) with three homers and 11 RBIs over his last nine games, providing a key spark for a Boston offense seeking consistency.

They will face a tough test in Twins right-hander Taj Bradley (4-0, 1.29 ERA), who has been dominant to start the season. Bradley is coming off a win Sunday in Toronto where he allowed one earned run over five innings with seven strikeouts. In four starts, he has 29 strikeouts in 21 1/3 innings.

The Twins (9-7) also won Sunday, defeating the Blue Jays 8-2, and have won seven of their last 10 games.

Despite Boston’s sub-.500 record, sportsbooks have installed the Red Sox as a pregame favorite with a spread of -1.5. The over/under is set at 7.5 runs. However, Interstat’s game simulator projects a 7-3 victory for the Twins.

Monday’s forecast calls for cloudy skies and a game-time temperature of 71 degrees.

The series continues Tuesday and Wednesday in Minneapolis before Boston returns home to face Detroit. The Twins will host Cincinnati following this series.
