Preview: Diamondbacks at Orioles, April 13, 2026

BALTIMORE (Interstat) — The Arizona Diamondbacks and Baltimore Orioles, both hovering around the .500 mark in the early season, open a three-game series Monday at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. EDT under clear skies with a temperature around 62 degrees.

Arizona (9-7) arrives after taking three of four from the Philadelphia Phillies, including a 4-3 win Sunday. Baltimore (8-7) is coming off a 6-2 victory over the San Francisco Giants, also on Sunday.

A key player to watch for the Orioles is left-hander Cade Povich, who delivered a strong outing in that win. Povich pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowing one run on five hits with five strikeouts. In his previous start April 5, he gave up two runs in 5 2/3 innings in a loss to Pittsburgh.

For the Diamondbacks, reliever Paul Sewald is a pivotal late-inning weapon. The right-hander has been sharp lately, not allowing an earned run in six of his last seven appearances. He earned the save Sunday in Philadelphia with a perfect inning and two strikeouts. On the season, he has a 2.70 ERA over 6 2/3 innings, with 10 strikeouts.

The Diamondbacks have won five of their last seven games. The Orioles have won four of their last six.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the projected final score is Diamondbacks 6, Orioles 4.

Following this series, the Diamondbacks will return home to face the Toronto Blue Jays starting Friday. The Orioles will embark on a seven-game road trip Thursday, beginning with four games against the Cleveland Guardians.
