Houston Astros at Seattle Mariners

Preview: Astros at Mariners, April 10, 2026

SEATTLE (Interstat) — The Seattle Mariners will look to halt a four-game skid when they host the Houston Astros on Friday night at T-Mobile Park to open a four-game series.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. PDT under cloudy skies with temperatures around 60 degrees.

The Mariners (4-9) return home after being swept in a three-game set by the Texas Rangers, scoring just three total runs. They were shut out 3-0 on Wednesday. Seattle’s offense, which has been held to two runs or fewer in seven of its 13 games, will face Houston right-hander Tatsuya Imai (1-0).

The Astros (6-7) also seek to rebound after dropping two of three in Colorado, including a 9-1 loss Wednesday. Houston’s bullpen, a player to watch this series, will be in focus. Reliever Kai-Wei Teng has been a bright spot, allowing just one earned run over his last 7.2 innings across five appearances, including 1.1 scoreless innings in the recent loss.

Seattle will counter with right-hander Emerson Hancock (1-1). Hancock delivered a stellar outing his last time out, holding the Los Angeles Angels to one hit over seven scoreless innings in a 3-1 win on April 3.

Despite their record, the Mariners are installed as a -1.5 run favorite according to sportsbooks, with an over/under set at 7.5 runs. Projections are split: Interstat’s game simulator predicts a 5-1 Astros victory, while its ELO rating system gives Seattle a 55.9% probability to win.

The series continues through Monday before both clubs embark on new homestands.
