Milwaukee Brewers at Kansas City Royals

Brewers, Royals Set for Rubber Match in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Interstat) — The surging Milwaukee Brewers and the Kansas City Royals will conclude their three-game interleague series Sunday at Kauffman Stadium.

First pitch is scheduled for the evening. The forecast calls for cloudy skies and a temperature of 52 degrees.

The Brewers (6-1) have won six of their first seven, including an 8-2 victory over Tampa Bay on Wednesday and a 5-2 win here Friday night. The Royals (3-4) snapped a two-game skid with an 8-2 win over Milwaukee on Saturday.

Milwaukee will send left-hander Kyle Harrison (0-0) to the mound. Kansas City will counter with left-hander Kris Bubic (1-0).

A player to watch for the Brewers is outfielder Garrett Mitchell, who drove in five runs with a home run in Friday’s victory. For the Royals, reliever Alex Lange will look to build on a strong two-inning, four-strikeout performance from that same game.

According to Interstat, the Brewers are projected to win with a 57.6% probability, and its game simulator predicts a 6-5 Milwaukee victory. The Brewers are favored by 1.5 runs, and the over/under is set at 8.

After the series, Milwaukee heads to Boston for a three-game set beginning Monday. Kansas City opens a four-game series at home against the Chicago White Sox on Thursday.
