Cincinnati Reds at Texas Rangers

ARLINGTON, Texas (Interstat) — The Cincinnati Reds and Texas Rangers, both 4-3 and seeking a series win, conclude a three-game set Sunday at Globe Life Field.

First pitch is scheduled for the evening, with cloudy conditions and a temperature around 62 degrees forecast.

The pitching matchup features a pair of right-handers with 1-0 records. Cincinnati’s Chase Burns is set to start against Texas’ Jack Leiter. Burns will look to continue a strong start for Reds starters, while Leiter aims to help the Rangers avoid a series sweep.

Cincinnati has taken the first two games of the series, winning 5-3 on Friday and 2-0 on Saturday. In Friday’s victory, Reds left fielder Spencer Steer went 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs. Starter Brady Singer earned the win, allowing two runs over five innings.

Singer, a player to watch for Cincinnati, has a 2-0 record after also winning on March 28 against Boston. For Texas, left-hander MacKenzie Gore is a key figure despite taking the loss Friday, when he struck out nine Reds over six innings.

Both bullpens have been tested. Cincinnati’s Emilio Pagán pitched a scoreless inning Friday, while Texas reliever Jakob Junis did the same in that game.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the projected final score is Rangers 5, Reds 3. However, Cincinnati has been installed as a pregame favorite with a spread of -1.5. The over/under is set at 8 runs.

After Sunday, the Reds begin a four-game series at Miami on Monday. The Rangers will start a three-game homestand against Seattle on Monday before a West Coast trip.
