(Interstat) — Shea Langeliers went 4 for 4 with a home run and Luis Severino combined with two relievers on a five-hit shutout as the Athletics beat the Houston Astros 6-0 on Wednesday night at Sutter Health Park. The loss was the fifth straight for the Astros, who remained one game behind Detroit for the final American League wild card with four games to play. Severino earned the win, allowing three hits over 6 1/3 innings. Langeliers hit a solo homer and Tyler Soderstrom followed with another in the seventh inning. Hunter Brown took the loss for Houston.
