Houston Astros at Los Angeles Angels

ANAHEIM, Calif. (Interstat) — The Houston Astros look to build on a recent offensive surge when they continue their final series of the regular season against the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday at Angel Stadium.

Houston (85-74) evened the three-game set with a shutout victory Friday night after the Angels (71-88) took the opener. The Astros have won five of the last seven meetings between the AL West rivals this season.

The Astros are scheduled to send right-hander Caden Dana (0-3, 5.40 ERA) to the mound. Dana is still seeking his first major league win. He will be opposed by an Angels starter yet to be announced.

Houston arrives with momentum after an 11-5 win over on Thursday, powered by a home run and three RBIs from Christian Walker. Jose Altuve added two hits and two RBIs in the victory. Despite the win, the Astros have struggled for consistency, going 5-5 over their last 10 games.

The Angels have lost seven of their last 10 and are coming off a 9-4 loss to Kansas City on Thursday. Mike Trout homered in the defeat, one of the few bright spots for Los Angeles during a difficult September.

According to a projection by Interstat, the Astros are favored to win Saturday’s contest with a predicted final score of 4-2.

The series concludes Sunday.
