New York Mets at Miami Marlins

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (Interstat) — The New York Mets and Miami Marlins will play the second game of their season-ending series Saturday evening at loanDepot Park, with both teams looking to finish their campaigns on a high note.

First pitch is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, though the forecast calls for rain and a temperature of 86 degrees.

The Mets (82-77) took the series opener Friday afternoon, 2-0, and have won five of their last seven games. They are guaranteed to finish with a winning record. The Marlins (77-82), who have lost three of their last four, will look to avoid a losing season.

New York will send right-hander Eury Pérez (7-5) to the mound. Pérez will look to build on the Mets’ strong recent pitching after Nolan McLean struck out 11 and Brett Baty homered in an 8-5 win over the Chicago Cubs on Thursday.

Miami’s offense was stifled in a 1-0 loss to Philadelphia on Thursday, despite a solid combined effort from pitchers Janson Junk, Ronny Henriquez and Josh Simpson.

The season series between the National League East rivals is tied 6-6. The teams have split their 10 meetings since late August, with the Mets winning the most recent contest.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the Marlins are projected to win a high-scoring affair, 7-6.

The three-game series concludes Sunday.
