Washington Nationals at Atlanta Braves

ATLANTA (Interstat) — The Atlanta Braves, winners of five straight, will look to continue their recent dominance over the Washington Nationals when the National League East rivals open a three-game series Monday night at Truist Park.

The Braves (73-83) swept a four-game set in Washington last week, outscoring the Nationals 31-10. Atlanta is coming off a series win in Detroit, including a 6-2 victory Sunday behind a strong start from Spencer Strider and a two-RBI game from Ha-Seong Kim.

Washington (64-92) arrives after taking two of three from the New York Mets, including a 3-2 win Sunday. Shortstop Nasim Nuñez went 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs in the victory.

Despite the recent head-to-head success, both teams have been eliminated from postseason contention. The Braves are installed as a -1.5 run favorite with an over/under of 7. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 7-3 Atlanta victory, giving the Braves a 64.7% probability to win.

The series continues Tuesday and Wednesday in Atlanta.
