Miami Marlins at Colorado Rockies

DENVER (Interstat) — The Miami Marlins will look to complete a series sweep of the struggling Colorado Rockies when the teams conclude their four-game set Thursday afternoon at Coors Field.

First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. MDT. The Marlins (72-80) have taken the first three games of the series, including an 8-4 victory on Wednesday. The Rockies (41-111) have lost 10 of their last 12 games and own the worst record in the majors.

Miami’s offense was powered by designated hitter Agustín Ramírez, who homered and drove in three runs in Wednesday’s win. Second baseman Javier Sanoja added three hits and an RBI. Reliever Lake Bachar provided two scoreless innings of work out of the bullpen.

The Rockies’ bright spot in the loss was a solo home run from pinch-hitter Mickey Moniak. Starter McCade Brown took the loss, allowing three earned runs over four innings.

The Marlins have won seven of their last 10 games and are playing solid baseball late in the season, though they remain well out of playoff contention. The Rockies, conversely, are mired in a difficult season, on pace to challenge the modern-era record for losses.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the Marlins are projected to win with a final score of 5-2. Their ELO rating system gives Miami a 63.6% probability to win. Betting markets list the Marlins as a -1.5 run favorite with an over/under of 10.5 runs.

Following the game, the Marlins will travel to Texas to open a three-game series against the Rangers. The Rockies will remain at home to host the Los Angeles Angels for a three-game weekend series.
