The IceHogs took a 2-0 first-period lead on Misiak’s goal 24 seconds in and Gavin Hayes’ strike at 3:51. Trey Taylor scored for Texas at 12:11 of the first, and Dylan Hryckowian tied it 2-2 at 12:50 of the second. Jiří Felcman put Rockford ahead 3-2 at 19:18 of the second, and Seney made it 4-2 at 11:23 of the third. Jack Anderson pulled Texas to 4-3 at 13:22 of the third. Drew Commesso stopped 24 of 27 shots for Rockford. Hryckowian finished with a goal and an assist for Texas, while Christian Fitzgerald added an assist and four shots. The announced attendance was 3,286. Texas fell to 2-8, and Rockford improved to 4-6.
