(Interstat) — Cameron Hebig scored twice and Kevin Rooney added the go-ahead goal in the third period as the Tucson Roadrunners defeated the Ontario Reign 3-2 on Saturday at Toyota Arena. Hebig tallied in the second period at 11:35 and again at 15:18, erasing a two-goal Ontario lead. Rooney scored at 11:23 of the third, with assists from Yegor Borikov and Zac Jones. Aatu Jämsen opened the scoring for Ontario at 8:08 of the first, and Cole Guttman made it 2-0 at 2:52 of the second. Hebig finished with two goals and two shots on goal. Rooney had one goal and four shots. Jämsen had one goal and three shots. Zac Jones recorded two assists and four shots. Ben McCartney had five shots. Borikov had an assist and two shots. Tomas Lavoie had an assist and two shots. Jared Wright had an assist and two shots. Austin Poganski had an assist and one shot. Guttman had a goal, two shots and four penalty minutes. Tucson improved to 7-4, while Ontario fell to 5-6. Attendance was 4,842.
