(Interstat) — Austin Gordon struck out 10 over 6 1/3 innings and the Rocket City Trash Pandas beat the visiting Biloxi Shuckers 3-1 on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, at Toyota Field, clinching their Southern League playoff series 2-1. Gordon allowed one earned run on six hits and one walk for the win. Kenyon Yovan earned the save with 1 2/3 scoreless innings and four strikeouts. J.D. Thompson took the loss, yielding two earned runs on six hits over 3 2/3 innings with five strikeouts. Nick Rodriguez went 3 for 4 with an RBI, and Arjun Nimmala homered for Rocket City. Biloxi and Rocket City each had 10 hits. The Trash Pandas scored single runs in the second, third and sixth innings; Biloxi scored once in the sixth. Rocket City improved to 75-65, while Biloxi fell to 67-69. Attendance was 2,912, and the game took 2 hours, 40 minutes.
