(Interstat) — Jake McCutcheon doubled home Luis Leon in the bottom of the ninth inning, and the Jupiter Hammerheads defeated the Tampa Tarpons 1-0 on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, at Roger Dean Stadium to win Game 3 and the Florida State League playoff series 2-1. Manuel Genao struck out eight and allowed two hits over five scoreless innings for Jupiter, while Tampa’s J.T. Etheridge worked six scoreless innings, allowing three hits, with seven strikeouts. Elier Morillo earned the win in relief, allowing one hit over four scoreless innings with eight strikeouts. Jose Ledesma threw one and one-third scoreless innings for Tampa. Rafael Arias took the loss after yielding one earned run in two-thirds of an inning. McCutcheon went 1 for 2 with the game’s only RBI. Echedry Vargas added a hit for Jupiter.
