SUGAR LAND, Texas (Interstat) — Las Vegas Aviators defeated Sugar Land Space Cowboys 7-5 on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, at Constellation Field in Pacific Coast League play. Matt Sauer earned the win, allowing two earned runs over five innings with three strikeouts for Las Vegas. Bryce Mayer took the loss for Sugar Land, and Jared Johnson recorded the save. Cole Conn homered and drove in two runs, while Bryan Lavastida went 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Aviators. Luis Morales struck out four in 1.2 relief innings, while Wander Suero and Jared Johnson each worked scoreless relief. Christian Roa, Logan VanWey, Alimber Santa and Kai-Wei Teng each pitched a scoreless inning for Sugar Land. Las Vegas finished with seven hits overall, while Sugar Land had five. The Aviators improved to 85-57. The Space Cowboys fell to 71-73. Attendance at Constellation Field was 3,039, and the game took two hours, 53 minutes.
