Willits, Boissiere Power Harrisburg Senators Past New Hampshire Fisher Cats

MANCHESTER, N.H. (Interstat) — Eli Willits and Branden Boissiere each homered and drove in three runs as the Harrisburg Senators defeated the New Hampshire Fisher Cats 9-3 on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. Harrisburg, the visiting team, improved to 66-66 in the Double-A Eastern League. New Hampshire fell to 57-74. The game took 2 hours, 54 minutes and drew an announced attendance of 5,102. Harrisburg finished with 11 hits, while New Hampshire had eight.

The Senators built an early lead and never trailed. After a scoreless first, Harrisburg broke through against New Hampshire starter Fernando Perez. Eli Willits singled, stole a base and scored on Branden Boissiere’s line-drive single to left. Harrisburg added another run on a sacrifice fly by Sam Brown. Kevin Bazzell extended the lead with a solo home run to left field, and Devin Fitz-Gerald made it 4-2 with a solo homer to center.

New Hampshire stayed close with a two-run rally. Carter Cunningham doubled to left to score Dub Gleed, and Tucker Toman followed with a single to center that brought home Cunningham. The Fisher Cats cut the deficit to 3-2 at that point. Peyton Williams later doubled to center, scoring Cutter Coffey for New Hampshire’s final run. The Fisher Cats finished with eight hits and left runners on base in the fifth.

The decisive sequence came when Harrisburg pulled away for good. Bazzell doubled to center to open the rally, and Devin Ortiz singled to left to put runners on the corners. Willits then launched a three-run home run to right-center, clearing the bases and giving the Senators a 7-2 lead. After Fitz-Gerald singled, Boissiere hit a two-run home run to right-center, extending the margin to 9-2. That five-run burst turned a close game into a comfortable Harrisburg win.

Luke Young earned the win in relief for Harrisburg, improving to 8-3. Jarlin Susana started and worked 3.2 innings, allowing four hits and two earned runs while striking out six. Sandy Gaston, Jhancarlos Lara and Kyle Luckham each tossed a scoreless inning. Gaston and Lara each struck out two, while Luckham allowed one hit and struck out two. The Harrisburg staff combined for 28 strikes, 66 balls and 28 balls in play. Fernando Perez took the loss for New Hampshire, falling to 0-2 after giving up three hits and two earned runs over three innings with three strikeouts. Jonathan Todd provided 2.2 innings of relief for the Fisher Cats, allowing one hit and striking out four. New Hampshire pitchers combined for 30 strikes, 57 balls and 30 balls in play.

Willits led Harrisburg at the plate, going 4-for-6 with a home run and three RBIs. Boissiere finished 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs. Fitz-Gerald went 2-for-4 with a home run and one RBI, and Bazzell was 2-for-4 with a home run and one RBI. Ortiz added a single and scored a run. For New Hampshire, Cunningham doubled and drove in a run, Toman singled in a run, and Williams doubled in a run. Josh Rivera and Dub Gleed each contributed hits for New Hampshire.

The Senators evened their record at 66-66 and took three of four games in the series. Harrisburg had won 8-0 on September 10 and 11-1 on September 8 before dropping a 2-1 decision in 10 innings on September 11. New Hampshire dropped to 57-74. The Fisher Cats had won the previous night’s game in extra innings. The Senators’ victory gave them a split of the final two contests in the four-game set.

Harrisburg’s defense turned a double play in the ninth when Devin Ortiz grounded into a pitcher-to-second-to-first twin killing. The Senators also got a stolen base from Willits. New Hampshire’s best defensive sequence came in the first, when Victor Arias caught a lineout in center field. The Fisher Cats threatened in the fifth, loading the bases with two outs, but Tucker Toman grounded out to second to end the inning. Harrisburg’s bullpen then retired the side in order in the sixth and limited New Hampshire’s chances the rest of the way.

Interstat’s game simulator had projected a final score of Harrisburg 5, New Hampshire 2. Interstat’s ELO system had given Harrisburg a 56.4 percent probability to win. The Senators surpassed that projection with their five-run outburst and a strong relief effort.
