HILLSBORO, Ore. (Interstat) — Jose Ramos drove in two runs and the Eugene Emeralds topped the Hillsboro Hops 3-2 on Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, at Ron Tonkin Field before an announced crowd of 2,740.

Ramos singled in a run in the second to give Eugene a 1-0 lead. Hillsboro scored once in the second and once in the third to edge ahead. In the fourth, Eugene pushed two runs across, with Ramos again delivering an RBI single. Eugene (78-51) outhit Hillsboro 7-3.

Matt Dunaway (2-3) earned the win, tossing three scoreless innings with no hits and four strikeouts. Junior Ciprian (6-6) took the loss after allowing three earned runs in 3 2/3 innings. Liam Simon worked two scoreless innings for his seventh save. Cade Vernon started for Eugene and allowed one run over four innings. Augie Mojica allowed one hit over four scoreless relief innings for Hillsboro (62-68). Nate Savino tossed 1 1/3 scoreless innings for Hillsboro. Jakey Josepha went 2-for-4 for the Hops. The game lasted 2:45.
