(Interstat) — J.T. Etheridge struck out 10 over six scoreless innings and Tyce Armstrong homered and drove in five runs as the Tampa Tarpons routed the Jupiter Hammerheads 14-3 on Friday, Aug. 28, 2026, at Roger Dean Stadium.

Tampa scored four runs in the third, three in the fourth, two in the sixth and five in the seventh. Jupiter scored three in the eighth. The Tarpons finished with nine hits, while the Hammerheads had eight. Armstrong hit his fourth home run, and Bear Harrison had three hits and three RBIs. Paul Gutierrez-Contreras II and Yostin Pena each scored three times.

Etheridge improved to 9-3, allowing three hits in six innings. Elier Morillo dropped to 4-2 after allowing three earned runs in three innings. Matthew Tippie and Brennan Stuprich each pitched a scoreless inning for Tampa. Jupiter’s Jake McCutcheon also worked a scoreless inning, and Yenfri Sosa allowed one earned run in 1 2/3 innings. Luis Cova had two RBIs for Jupiter. The attendance was 567, and the game lasted 3:11. Tampa improved to 72-50, while Jupiter fell to 60-62.
