MIDLAND, Texas (Interstat) — Steven Echavarria pitched 4 1/3 scoreless innings and Kenya Huggins earned the win as the Midland RockHounds defeated the Tulsa Drillers 4-2 on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026 at Security Bank Ballpark.

Midland scored single runs in the first and third innings before adding two in the fifth. Brennan Milone doubled home a run in the third, and Jared Sprague-Lott had an RBI double in the fifth. Casey Yamauchi had two RBIs, including a sacrifice bunt that scored Milone.

Tulsa scored twice in the ninth on Griffin Lockwood-Powell’s two-run single. The Drillers managed seven hits, but grounded into two double plays. Midland had five hits and made two sacrifice hits.

Echavarria allowed four hits with seven strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings. Huggins threw 3 2/3 scoreless innings with four strikeouts to improve to 2-4. Wyatt Crowell took the loss, falling to 7-6. Evan Shaw struck out three over three hitless innings for Tulsa.

Midland improved to 60-63. Tulsa dropped to 76-47. Attendance was 3,316. The game lasted 2:37.
