TAMPA, Fla. (Interstat) — The Palm Beach Cardinals visit the Tampa Tarpons on Saturday at George M. Steinbrenner Field in the fourth game of a six‑game series.

Palm Beach (30‑24) is expected to start right‑hander Jack Martinez (0‑4) or left‑hander Tyler Boudreau (0‑2). The Tarpons (27‑27) had not announced a starter as of Friday. First pitch weather calls for [temperature unavailable].

The series is tied 2‑2 after Tampa rolled to a 7‑1 win Friday, bouncing back from a 3‑0 shutout Thursday. The Tarpons took the first two games of the set by a combined 26‑6 margin — 14‑5 on Wednesday and 12‑1 on Tuesday.

Martinez and Boudreau are both seeking their first wins; Martinez has lost four decisions, Boudreau two.

Palm Beach’s bullpen has been a bright spot. Right‑hander Cade Crossland, a player to watch, threw 4.1 scoreless innings in Thursday’s win, allowing one hit and striking out nine. Over his past five outings, spanning the last month, Crossland has a 1.96 ERA with 39 strikeouts in 22.2 innings. He has allowed one earned run in each of his last two appearances while logging 9.1 innings and 17 strikeouts.

For Tampa, right‑hander Alexander Cornielle is a key arm. He pitched 3.2 innings Thursday, giving up one run on two hits with three strikeouts. Cornielle has been used primarily in relief this season.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 6‑5 Palm Beach victory.

The Cardinals are trying to stabilize after a rocky stretch that saw them lose three of four before Thursday’s win. Palm Beach took two of three from Lakeland earlier in the week but has dropped five of its last eight overall.

Tampa, meanwhile, has won three of four in the series after a five‑game winning streak against Daytona that ended May 30. The Tarpons are hitting .276 over their past 10 games.

After Saturday’s game, the teams finish the series Sunday at Steinbrenner Field. Palm Beach then returns home to face St. Lucie in a six‑game set starting Tuesday, while Tampa travels to Bradenton for a six‑game series against the Marauders.
