HICKORY, N.C. (Interstat) — The Kannapolis Cannon Ballers open a six-game road series Tuesday night against the Hickory Crawdads at L.P. Frans Stadium.

First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. EDT. The forecast calls for rain with a temperature of 74 degrees.

He struck out seven over five innings in a loss to Salem on May 31.

Hickory has dominated the season series, winning five of six games. The Crawdads swept a four-game series in Kannapolis from April 9-12, winning 3-0, 4-3, 6-5 and 7-1.

Kannapolis is coming off a 4-8 home loss to Augusta on Sunday. First baseman Alexander Albertus drove in two runs. The Cannon Ballers split their six-game homestand against the GreenJackets, going 3-3.

Hickory fell 1-0 at Salem on Sunday, ending a three-game winning streak. The Crawdads took four of six games on their road trip against the RidgeYaks.

The Cannon Ballers have won four of their past five games against Hickory dating to 2025, but the Crawdads have the better overall record and home-field advantage.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 6-5 Hickory victory.

The series continues through Sunday before Kannapolis returns home to host Fredericksburg beginning June 9. Hickory travels to Charleston for a six-game series starting June 9.
