FORT MYERS, Fla. (Interstat) — The Tampa Tarpons visit the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels on Tuesday night at CenturyLink Sports Complex, with first pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m. under cloudy skies and a temperature of 77 degrees.

Tampa (12-15) enters the game after a 7-6 loss Sunday to St. Lucie, while Fort Myers (16-11) dropped a 5-2 decision at Daytona. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 6-5 victory for the Tarpons.

Right-hander Jose Ledesma has been Tampa’s most reliable reliever, posting a 0.00 ERA over his last seven appearances. In Sunday’s loss, he struck out five over two hitless innings. Since April 8, Ledesma has allowed one run over 9 1/3 innings and has not surrendered an earned run in six of those seven outings.

Fort Myers right-hander Justin Mitrovich also shined in a losing effort Sunday, allowing three hits and no earned runs while striking out five over four innings. He has recorded at least five strikeouts in each of his last two starts.

Tuesday begins a six-game series between the Florida State League opponents.
