Bradenton 14, at Tampa 9

Tuesday, April 14, 2026 · Final · Florida State League (A-Adv)

Bradenton Marauders at Tampa Tarpons

BRADENTON, Fla. (Interstat) — Two struggling Florida State League teams seeking momentum will meet Tuesday when the Bradenton Marauders visit the Tampa Tarpons at George M. Steinbrenner Field.

The Marauders (2-7) enter on a five-game losing skid, having been swept in a series by the Palm Beach Cardinals. Bradenton was shut out 6-0 in its most recent contest Sunday. The Tarpons (3-6) have also found wins scarce, dropping four of their last five, including a 1-0 pitchers’ duel at Clearwater on Sunday.

A pair of pitchers will be in the spotlight. Bradenton will look to reliever Treyson Peters, who has been a bright spot amid the losses. Over his last two appearances, covering 4 1/3 innings, Peters has allowed just one earned run on three hits while striking out three. He tossed two scoreless innings with two strikeouts in Sunday’s loss.

For Tampa, right-hander Danny Flatt is coming off a strong start despite taking the loss. On April 12, he held Clearwater to one run on three hits over six innings, striking out one. His season has been inconsistent, however, as he surrendered four runs in 4 2/3 innings in his previous outing on April 5.

Offense has been a problem for both clubs. During its five-game slide, Bradenton has been outscored 33-14. Tampa has been held to two runs or fewer in four of its six losses this season.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, Tuesday’s contest projects to be another low-scoring affair, with a predicted final of 3-2 in favor of the Tarpons. The system gives Tampa a 56.7% probability of victory.

This game marks the start of a five-game series between the division rivals. The teams will meet again Wednesday through Sunday at Steinbrenner Field.

First pitch is scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
