Harrisburg Senators at Altoona Curve

Rain Expected as Senators, Curve Continue Series in Altoona

ALTOONA, Pa. (Interstat) — The Harrisburg Senators will look to build on a season-opening victory when they face the Altoona Curve on Friday at Peoples Natural Gas Field, though rain in the forecast could complicate the Eastern League matchup.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. under threatening skies, with a game-time temperature of 56 degrees and rain expected.

The Senators (1-0) opened their 2026 campaign with a 7-2 road win over the Curve (0-1) on Thursday. Harrisburg’s offense was powered by first baseman Branden Boissiere, who went 2 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs in the victory.

Boissiere will be a key figure again as Harrisburg sends right-hander Davian Garcia to the mound. Altoona will counter with right-hander Connor Wietgrefe.

Despite taking the loss Thursday, Altoona’s Khristian Curtis turned in a strong individual performance, striking out nine batters over five innings while allowing just two hits and one earned run. He will look for more support from a Curve lineup that managed only two runs on four hits in the opener.

The series is the first of the season for both teams. According to Interstat’s game simulator, Friday’s contest projects to be a tight pitchers’ duel, with a predicted final score of 1-0 in favor of Harrisburg.

Following Friday’s game, the two teams will meet again Saturday in Altoona before each embarks on a six-game road trip. Harrisburg will host the Akron RubberDucks for a series starting Tuesday, while Altoona will travel to face the Richmond Flying Squirrels.
