San Antonio Missions at Tulsa Drillers
TULSA, Okla. (Interstat) — The San Antonio Missions and Tulsa Drillers will open their 2026 seasons under threatening skies Thursday at ONEOK Field, with rain in the forecast and both clubs looking to shake off lengthy offseason droughts.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CDT with a game-time temperature near 77 degrees and precipitation expected.
The Missions, who finished their 2025 campaign with a 7-0 loss at Springfield on Sept. 14, will send right-hander Luke Fox to the mound. Fox’s season record from the previous year is unavailable. The Drillers, who also closed 2025 with a shutout loss at Springfield, 3-0 in seven innings on Sept. 18, have not named a starting pitcher.
Both teams enter with 0-0 records.
The game begins a three-game series to open the season. The clubs will meet again Friday and Saturday in Tulsa before the Missions host Corpus Christi for a six-game homestand starting April 7. The Drillers will embark on a six-game road trip to Springfield beginning April 7.
According to Interstat’s game simulator, Thursday’s contest projects to be a pitchers’ duel, with a predicted final score of 1-0 in favor of San Antonio.
The matchup marks the first competitive action for both franchises since their respective playoff runs or season finales last September, setting the stage for a fresh start amid the potential for wet conditions in downtown Tulsa.
