Knights, Sounds Set for Wednesday Showdown in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Interstat) — The Charlotte Knights visit the Nashville Sounds on Wednesday at First Horizon Park looking to build on a perfect start, while the Sounds aim to even their record in the second game of their early-season series.

First pitch is scheduled for Wednesday, April 1, 2026, under cloudy skies with a game-time temperature of 73 degrees.

The Knights (2-0) arrive with momentum after a season-opening sweep of Durham, capped by a 4-3 win on Sunday. First baseman Jacob Gonzalez powered that victory, going 2-for-3 with two home runs and two RBIs. He will be a key bat to watch for Charlotte.

Nashville (1-1) split a two-game set at Norfolk, winning 6-2 on Sunday behind a strong start from Tate Kuehner. The pitcher went 5 2/3 innings, allowing just two hits and one earned run while striking out five. He is expected to be a pivotal arm for the Sounds this series.

The Sounds took the first meeting between the teams on Tuesday, defeating the Knights 4-1.

On the mound Wednesday, Charlotte is slated to start left-hander Noah Schultz. Nashville will counter with right-hander Carlos Rodriguez. Both pitchers’ season records were not specified.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the projection favors the Sounds in a high-scoring affair, predicting a 6-5 Nashville victory.

Following Wednesday’s contest, the two teams will meet again Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday to complete a six-game series at First Horizon Park.

Charlotte then returns home for a six-game set against Memphis beginning April 7. Nashville will embark on a six-game road trip to face the Gwinnett Stripers starting April 7.
